Our database reflects the official list of accredited sponsors as at January 2025, sourced from a Freedom of Information request to the Department of Home Affairs (FOI FA 25/01/01229). We update the data when new FOI releases become available. For the most current status of any specific company, always verify directly with them or through the ABN Lookup.

We've enriched the original government data with additional details like sector, employee count, and state coverage. Some of this is estimated and may not be perfectly accurate. If you spot an error, use the "Something look wrong?" link on the company page to suggest a correction.

Our occupation list lets you search your job and see instantly whether it's on the list, which stream it falls under, and the salary floor that applies.

The Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) is the Australian government's official list of 456 occupations eligible for employer-sponsored visas under the Core Skills stream. If your occupation isn't on it, you may still have options through a regional agreement or a different visa — but the CSOL is the main pathway.

Yes. For the Core Skills stream, your salary must be at or above the Core Skills Income Threshold (currently AUD 76,515, rising to AUD 79,499 from 1 July 2026). An accredited sponsor is a company that has been formally approved by the Australian Department of Home Affairs to hire skilled overseas workers. Accredited sponsors have a faster and simpler sponsorship process than Standard Business Sponsors, and are generally larger, established companies with a strong compliance history.

A Standard Business Sponsor (SBS) is the baseline approval needed to sponsor workers on a 482 visa. An Accredited Sponsor is a higher tier — these companies have a streamlined sponsorship process and typically sponsor workers more frequently. Both types appear in our directory.

No. Inclusion in our directory means a company held accreditation as at January 2025. It does not mean they are currently hiring, currently accepting visa applications, or willing to sponsor your specific role. Always verify directly with the company.

No. Only companies that have applied for and received approval from the Department of Home Affairs can legally sponsor skilled workers on employer-sponsored visas. That's exactly what our directory shows — the companies that already have that approval.

Some industries in Australia are subject to additional government regulation and oversight — for example, finance (APRA, ASIC), healthcare (AHPRA), mining (state mining authorities), and aged care. Companies in these sectors may have longer hiring processes or additional licensing requirements for overseas workers. You'll find this noted on individual company pages where relevant.

Approved sponsors must meet ongoing obligations — including paying nominated salaries, keeping records, and cooperating with monitoring.
